It was December. A winter season, perfect holiday time for travellers. So we had planned a short holiday trip to the three crowns of the Chota Nagpur plateau of Jharkhand district - Ranchi, Netarhat & Betla.

DAY 1:–

We started our journey to Jharkhand from Ranchi, the capital of the state. The cities also known for M.S.Dhoni’s birthplace and famous mental hospital. As per our plan, we had booked Hotel Hans Vihar of JTDC for three days; the next two were reserved for NETARHAT and BETLA, respectively. The first day was free to explore the city on foot for local cuisine — Litti Chokha, Dhuska, and Malpua. We had room in Ranchi city till 9.10pm. The city is safe for tourists. Ranchi is safer for someone coming from a place larger than Ranchi. Ranchi is likewise safe for visitors from all around India, and it is even safer for those from outside India.

DAY 2:–

Basically, we separated our itinerary into two parts. Day two was reserved for a local sightseeing tour, and day three was for Rajarappa. So, as per our schedule, we started our journey with Hundru Falls. Located on the Ranchi-Purulia Road, during their stay in the city.Just 45 km from the city. This 3320-foot-high waterfall has formed from the Subarnarekha River. This falls create a beautiful landscape. There is a swimming pool and picnic area at the foot of the Hundru Waterfall. People have always been drawn to the breathtaking sight of water plummeting from such a high altitude. The area's beauty has been enhanced by the many rock formations created by the water's relentless erosion. People travel to Ranchi's Hundru Falls to have wonderful vacations with their family. Adventure seekers congregate at the Hundru Falls, which is regarded as one of the area's most well-liked hiking locations.

Afterward, we moved to Sita Falls. Sita Falls is located in the Chas area of Bokaro district. It is at a short distance from the city of Bokaro, making it easily accessible. These falls originate from rtheKanchi. About 40 kilometers east of Ranchi, Jharkhand, is Sita Falls, a secret natural waterfall. From a height of around 44 meters (144 feet), the water plunges into a picturesque rocky pool below. It is named after Goddess Sita because, according to local legend, she spent her exile close to the falls. Dense trees and hills asurroundSita Fall. This place draws travelers because of its serene and revitalizing atmosphere.

Our next spot was Dasham Falls, (also known as Dassam Ghagh) is a waterfall located near Taimara village in the Bundu subdivision of Ranchi district, which is also originated from river Kanchi. The Dassam Falls have crystal-clear, pure water. It is normal for tourists to be tempted to swim or have a bath in the water, although they are cautioned against doing so due to the current's strength. One instance of a nick point brought about by rejuvenation is the Dassam Falls. Knick points, often known as nick points or just nick, are indicators of rejuvenation-induced slope fractures in a river's longitudinal profile. A waterfall is created when water falls vertically due to a break in the channel gradient.

Johna Falls was the fourth waterfall on our Day trip. River Ganga and the River Rahu come together to form these giant roaring falls. This falls is also known as Gautamdhara Falls, is a stunning natural spot located about 40 kilometers from Ranchi, Jharkhand. The waterfall is 45 meters high and is part of the Subarnarekha River. Encircled by hills and trees, it's a serene spot to take in the scenery. Anyone who likes tranquility and the outdoors will adore Jonha Falls. It's a terrific spot to unwind because of the sound of the water, the verdant surroundings, and the refreshing air. The excursion is made more spiritual by the presence of a Lord Buddha temple next to the waterfall. Many tourists take pleasure in walking or meditating on the pathways surrounding the falls.

Now time to back the city for another spot which are located around the city. On the way, we visited Kanke Dam. Just 8 kilometers from the Ranchi Railway Station and 12 km from the Birsa Munda Airport, KankeDam is a massive man-made reservoir situated on Kanke Road in the foothills of the Gonda Hills. It serves as a well-liked neighborhood picnic area, boating destination, and tranquil nighttime getaway, all surrounded by picturesque hills.

A famous Rock Garden of Ranchi just next to the dam. And also famous for sunset point. But we missed this magical moment due to time adjustment. One of the most popular tourist destinations in both the city and the state is Ranchi's Rock Garden. The Albert Akka Chowk is around four kilometers away from Ranchi's renowned Rock Garden. After the Jaipur garden, the Ranchi Rock Garden is the most significant and well-known. Gonda Hill rocks were used to construct Ranchi's Rock Garden. This rock garden in the capital city of Jharkhand has a jhula, which is an iron rod with two sides. This location's attractiveness is enhanced by the many sculptures and waterfalls. 35 km before Ranchi, we took a short stopover at Patratu Valley. From the hillside road, the view of the valley was outstanding. There was a lake named Patratu Lake, a well-known picnic spot for locals. The experience was overwhelming. We spent around 25 min there.

Now time for our last spot — TAGORE HILL. This place is not famous for Rabindranath Tagore. This more-than-picturesque area is named after his elder brother, Jyotindranath Tagore. A local zamindar donated the land to him, and in 1912 he moved here. From this hilltop residency, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Ranchi city, the valley, and lush greenery.  The Ramakrishna Ashram is situated at the foot of the Tagore Hill. Divyayan & Agrarian Vocational Institute is located at this ashram. Apart from this, the Tagore hill also famous among the adventure seekers for its notable geographical features – Rock climbing. Climbers gather here for adventure.
